Trouble backing up (copying) dvd?

I have decrypted goodfellas with dvdfab and it is on my hard drive. I have copied it to a +R dual layer twice, once with windows vista and once with cheetah burner as a dvd movie, both read as disc error on my dvd player. My dvd player is capable of reading this kind of disk. Should I burn it as a data dvd or ISO? I dont care if it plays automatically in my dvd player I just want to be able to play it somehow. Thanks
