What conservatives want to conserve, forest, rivers, the planet?

The smart ones. Conservatives trust economics, and when it makes economic sense, people conserve. When it doesn't, people don't. Conservative, liberal, it doesn't matter. Only money talks, and there are plenty of situations where corporations make far better citizens than is the average Prius-squatting hippie.
