Gluten Intolerance?..Advice Please?

I have a cousin and uncle who aren't able to eat anything with gluten. My family has a history of stomach problems. I was wondering if the gluten intolerance is hereditary? If it is does anyone know where I can get a list of foods I am able to eat (gluten free) I've felt miserable, I hope this will give me some relief.
