Can I turn off the extra spacing in hyperlinks posted on Yahoo! Groups?

I'm an owner/moderator of a Yahoo! group consisting of trusted friends that would not send malware or links to malicious sites. Yet, every time one of us attempts to send a link, there is always extra spacing added to the link, presumably as a safety feature. Is there any way to turn this off?
