Should I study abroad in Sweden or Australia?

I'm thinking about Sweden because I wanted to be able to travel around other parts of Europe while I am there. But I've never been overseas so I wasn't sure if Sweden was too far from places like France, Czech, or maybe even Spain, for weekend trips. I am torn because Australia is so beautiful and would be fun as well, just not as many traveling opportunities. Help!
