New boy puppy who only eats when im standing around.?

I just got a new puppy. he is 10 weeks old as of this week. everytime i serve his food, he takes a couple of bites and as soon as i start walking away he walks right behind me. so i put him in a pen with his food but he ignores the food and only cries so that i can come get him. ofcourse, i dont come to get him because i dont want to reinforce his crying. but once he stops, when i come back later to see if he has eaten, he still hasnt. Im kind of worried. what do i do?
