My chi straightner just broke :( Help?

So i got a chi for christmas last year 2009. So i havent even had it a year yet. My hair is really long and doesnt look good curly. Its not the wall socket ive pluged it into every one in my house, it still doesnt work! I need to know how to fix it or how i can get my hair pin straight every morning till i can go get one
