If human reflects God's image, then why human has so many weaknesses and so imperfect?

We were created to G-d's likeness, but the Almighty gave us free will. Therefore we are free to make our own choices, decide our own path. G-d gives us his word and his laws and commandments to follow, but ultimately its up to individual mankind to decide what weakness or imperfections we let control our lives.
