Are evangelical Christians responsible for the current recession? ?

Evangelical Christians supported and re-elected Bush, whose administration encouraged sub-prime mortgages and the Iraq invasion which both led to this recession. Are Christians to blame? Has their ignorance and faith in God caused this meltdown?
